What happens to the expressions you type, in plain terms.

Last updated: October 8, 2026

What stays in your browser

The expressions you type, the schedules you build and everything you ask the Assistant are processed by JavaScript in your browser. CronWave has no accounts and no forms that send what you enter to a server.

Moving an expression between tools

When you click "Open in Generator" or similar, the expression is passed in the part of the address after the #. Browsers do not include that part when they request a page, so it is not sent to the server. It can still appear in your browser history and, if you copy the address bar, in links you share.

What is stored on your device

  • Your theme choice, and your last platform, time zone and 24-hour preference in the Generator, in local storage.
  • Expressions you save in the Assistant, in local storage.
  • Short-lived context for the Assistant, such as the last expression you looked at, in session storage until you close the tab.

You can clear all of this from your browser's site settings. Nothing is set as a cookie by the CronWave code.

What your host may log

Like any website, the hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as the address of a page that was requested, your IP address and your browser's user agent. These logs do not include your expressions, for the reason given above. The site loads its fonts and scripts from its own domain and does not include third-party scripts.

Links to other sites

Links to documentation and other sites are governed by those sites' own policies.

This page describes how the site's code behaves. The site owner should confirm it matches their hosting, analytics and logging setup before relying on it.
